Every winter tamariki in foster care need warmth, and for another year, Ellerslie Leisure Centre's community showed up to help provide it. Foster Hope's annual Pyjama Drive has wrapped up for winter of 2026, with 155 new pyjamas collected and on their way to children who need them most.

In just ten months of para-swimming, Artur has competed in national-level competition and has his sights set on greater achievements. By training eleven sessions a week under the guidance of Coach Mohammed Asur at The Y North's Onehunga War Memorial Pool, his progress has been extraordinary.

New Found Sound is back, and across five regional heats, Auckland's emerging music talent has taken to the stage and made its mark. On the edge of the Hūnua Ranges, something remarkable has been taking shape over the past year. Since launching in July 2025, Counties Energy Nature's Classroom programme at The Y Camp Adair has connected tamariki to the land and the awa, building a sense of what it means to be kaitiaki.

In partnership with the Grassroots Trust, The Y is proud to deliver the 5th year of Sports Camps at Camp Adair. Sports Camps is built around the belief that no young person should miss out because of financial hardship.

This programme offers an affordable, parent-supervised space where tamariki can explore at their own pace in a safe environment. This programme has recently returned for the first time since 2022 and has been running for the past few weeks, already proving to be a hit with families.

Across March and April, the team prepared to host a series of free EcoFest events, while also making steady progress on the relocation of the site’s native nursery, a project that will support the next stage of environmental restoration across the catchment.

For the third year running, our Raise Up Crews supported over 35,000 participants at Southern Cross Round the Bays event. The Crews manned five different water stations while encouraging athletes and bringing positive energy.
