Dates & Pricing

  • 13-17 January 2025 (8 to 14 years) $650 per camper
  • 13-15 January 2025 (6 to 7 years) $490 per camper

Price includes overnight accommodation, meals, activities and all equipment. Transport available from two Auckland locations for the 13-17 January camp, at no additional cost.


Blast Outdoors Day Camp 2025:

Blast Outdoors (7 to 14-year-olds)

Tuesday 14 - Thursday 16 January

Price includes morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, activities and all equipment.

Drop off children between 8:15am - 8:45am.

Pick up children between 5pm - 5.30pm.

Jump Outdoors (6-7 year olds)

Offering our youngest campers a change to experience the exciting outdoors in a safe and caring environment. Activities could include some Kiwi classics like climbing, high ropes, bush skills, confidence or team building activities, or archery!

Group games and hanging out with children of a similar age makes this camp the perfect way to start your outdoors journey, making new friends and being active along the way

Discover Outdoors (8-11 year olds)

Offering kids a chance to meet and hang out with campers of a similar age. The focus of this week is on outdoor activities - ranging from climbing, kayaking, orienteering, raft building and archery. Gaining skills and confidence in these is a fantastic way to prepare kids for New Zealand's great outdoors.

Explore Outdoors (12-14 year olds)

A great way to make and hang out with friends of a similar age who enjoy the same things, while getting stuck into cool outdoor activities. Campers get to help design their own programme with activities early in the week providing the skills for an outdoor mission later in the week. From going bush to a water-based mission, who knows where the Explorers will end up.

Our holiday camps include

Accommodation

Dorm style accommodation. Campers can request to be in the same room as friends.

The Y staff are in cabins next to the campers - on duty overnight if needed.

Meals

Nutritious meals are included in the programme and dietary requirements can be catered for.

Activities

A wide range of 'Challenge by Choice' activities with any specialty equipment included.

Transport

Transport options to and from camp - from two central Auckland locations.

Or make your own way to and from camp.

Start of Camp - Drop Off Times (Monday)

Drop off at Camp - arriving between 9 am, and 9:30 am. Bus from The Y Mt Albert departs at 8 am; Bus From The Y North Shore departs at 9 am


​End of Camp - Pick Up Times (Friday)

Pick up from Camp - by 1:30 pm. Bus back to The Y North Shore - arriving at 2:15 pm; Bus back to The Y Mt Albert - arriving at 2:45 pm

Paying for Camps

Is there financial assistance available for Camp?

The Y is a Ministry of Social Development approved provider and eligible families can apply for WINZ support. please contact WINZ directly to see what you are eligible for.

Can I use Ministry of Health Support Days to help with the fees?

Yes. You will need five full days to cover the whole programme or we can use a combination of funded support days and financial payment to cover the costs.

Are you supported by agencies like Oranga Tamariki or Barnados?

Yes. The Y works with these and other agencies to assist children to attend holiday camps. Please contact your caseworker to discuss how they can support a child to attend.

Our online booking system makes registering for camp a simple process. Once registered on AimyPlus - follow the booking instructions to select your programme, your price, and the transport options available.

Remember your login details so you can book for future programmes and make changes to current bookings.


For family bookings

Set up an account for your family and register. If you already have an AimyPlus account, you can use those login details - ensure to check and update your details.


For funded bookings

If you're supporting a family, set up an account for them - so each family has its own account. If they already have an AimyPlus account, they can use those login details. You can include your contact details on their booking, and we will be in touch with you to arrange payment.
