The Y Massey Basketball Academy is where young players take their game to the next level.
Led by our experienced kaiako, players develop strong basketball fundamentals through fun, high-energy sessions focused on ball handling, shooting, passing, footwork and game-based drills. Each session is designed to challenge, inspire and build confidence on the court.
More than just learning the game, players develop teamwork, resilience and a growth mindset while building connections with their fellow kaitākaro. We create an environment where effort is celebrated, improvement recognised and every player has the opportunity to thrive.
With Beginner and Advanced classes available across each age group, players can learn at the right level and continue progress as their skills grow. Throughout the 10-week programme, participants work towards skill card achievements, league opportunities and the next stage of their basketball journey.
Term 4 2026: 17th October - 19th December
$170 for the 10-week term
Level 1 | Tīmata (Age 5-7): 8:30am-9:30am
Level 2 | Tipu (Age 8-9): 9:30am-10:30am
Level 3 | Kake (10-11): 10:30am-11:30am
Level 4 | Tū Kaha (12-13): 11:30am-12:30am
