The Y is the place to Play Ball! Our vision is for as many West Auckland Kids to Grow their Game of Basketball no matter their level.
Junior Basketball is played 5 days of the week with leagues suited for kids 5-16.
Season One is just around the corner!
Key Dates for 2026:
Pre-Registration: Open in October 2025
All Teams Registered: 10th February 2026
Season Dates: 23rd February- 3rd July
Days of Play:
U11: Play on Monday and Tuesday (Allocation of Divisions is determined after grading)
U9: Wednesday
U13: Thursday
U7: Friday
Semi Finals and Finals: Last Two Weeks of the Competition
Divisions are determined by the first 3 weeks of grading. We do our best to match like teams so the number of teams in each division can vary.
11s and 13s: Game Time: 2 x 15-minute Halves Halftime: 1 Minute Break.
7s and 9s: Game Time 2x 12 Minute Halves Half Time 1 Minute Break
Game Times Start at 3:30 or 3:45 and can be played till 8pm depending on the age group.
