Junior Basketball Leagues at Massey

Y Basketball at Massey Gym and Leisure Centre.

The Y is the place to Play Ball!
We want to help as many West Auckland Kids as possible to Grow their Game of Basketball no matter their level.
Junior Basketball is played 5 days of the week with leagues suited for kids 5-13.
Season 1 2026 Dates: 23rd Feb-3rd July

Days of Play:
U11: Play on Monday and Tuesday (Allocation of Divisions is determined after grading)
U9: Wednesday
U13: Thursday
U7: Friday

We are currently in Grading!
Divisions are determined by the first 3 weeks of grading. We do our best to match like teams so the number of teams in each division can vary.
Draws are created weekly after each round so we have the best chance of matching like teams. These are sent to School and Club Co-ordinators so please check with them for the draw each week! Round Robin will commence on the 16th of March.

If you have a question about how something works you are welcome to ask a referee on game day or email y-sports.massey@ymcaauckland.org.nz. Please write your team division and name so we know best how to support your query.

Complaints:
It is understandable that sometimes things can happen that make players, parents or coaches feel frustrated or concerned about the level of play or control.
We ask that all complaints go through the school or club co‑ordinator so we can ensure concerns are handled respectfully, consistently, and through the correct channels to support the best outcome for everyone involved.
