School Holiday Programme at Greenhithe School

Bookings open now!

Looking for a fun holiday programme your tamariki will love?

The Y (formerly known as YMCA) is super excited to be a part of the Greenhithe School community to deliver a fun holiday programme in a safe and secure environment.

Engaging, active programme

As a parent, we know that giving kids some freedom during their school holiday is important - which is why our programme is designed to allow children to participate to their own level. We carefully plan each day to offer engaging, fun and active content - so no matter what they're doing, you'll know they'll enjoy it. We've also included the option for some great excursions - either crowd favourites, or new and interesting choices - you'll be picking up happy kids at the end of each day!

The Y Holiday Programmes at Greenhithe School

Safeguarding our tamariki

For years The Y (formerly YMCA) has provided a safe and secure environment, where kids can just be’ and enjoy their time with us. We want to support every parent by not only being a fun programme, but also a safe haven where kids’ development is supported and learning is recognised.

YMCA North is Aotearoa’s first and only accredited organisation through the Australian Childhood Foundation (ACF). We are proud to lead the children’s workforce as a child-safe organisation. Find out more.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you do WINZ subsidies

Yes, we do! As an approved holiday programme, parents who are eligible can access the OSCAR subsidy from Work and Income. If this is you, contact oscar@ymcaauckland.org.nz as we need to complete Part C of the application form, and you will need to pay a 20% deposit. There are different subsidy rates depending on your eligibility – check out www.winz.govt.nz for more information.

How can I make a booking to the programme

The Y uses an online booking system called AimyPlus. To book, you will need to register first on https://ymca-akl-ham-bop.aimyplus.com/ - this is where you will put in all your details, and information about your child/ren including any medical conditions, and who can collect your child.

What clothing/equipment do we need to bring

Active kids are happy kids! Clothing children can move in is best, and for those who go hard, a change of clothes is always great to have in the bag. Children will need to bring a drinkbottle, sunhat, morning tea and lunch every day.

    Do you provide Lunch

Unfortunately no, not at this stage.

      Where do we meet/go

We are in the school hall at Greenhithe School.

If entering from the front of the school, walk through the school and down the stairs to opposite the school pool.

If entering from the rear of the school, walk up the driveway to the playground.

        Signing in process

Children must be signed in and out each day by an authorised person. You can add as many people as you would like into your AimyPlus profile to collect your child. If someone turns up to collect a child and they are not on the approved list, we will call you to confirm. If your child will be making their own way to/from the programme please email oscar@ymcaauckland.org.nz so you can complete the arrive/depart unaccompanied form.
