Finding exciting activities to keep your kids engaged during the holidays or just making care arrangements can be a challenge for many families.
The Y (formerly YMCA) Camp Adair offers a range of holiday camp options for 6 - 14 year-olds during the school holidays.
Camp may include super cool activities like mud-slide, glow worms, camp fires, flying foxes, high ropes, archery and more. Children get to experience independence, meet new friends, develop confidence and other skills such as team-work and communication.

The Y has a voluntary tiered pricing system helping families to choose what suits the best for them.
Tier A (Full cost): $590; 4-night camp
Tier B (Partially subsidised): $540; 4-night camp
Offering our youngest campers a change to experience the exciting outdoors in a safe and caring environment. Activities could include some Kiwi classics like climbing, high ropes, bush skills, confidence or team building activities, or archery!
Group games and hanging out with children of a similar age makes this camp the perfect way to start your outdoors journey, making new friends and being active along the way
GET IN TOUCHOffering kids a chance to meet and hang out with campers of a similar age. The focus of this week is on outdoor activities - ranging from climbing, kayaking, orienteering, raft building and archery. Gaining skills and confidence in these is a fantastic way to prepare kids for New Zealand's great outdoors.
GET IN TOUCHA great way to make and hang out with friends of a similar age who enjoy the same things, while getting stuck into cool outdoor activities. Campers get to help design their own programme with activities early in the week providing the skills for an outdoor mission later in the week. From Going Bush to a water-based mission, who knows where the Explorers will end up.
GET IN TOUCHCabin-style accommodation in bunks. Campers can request to be in the same cabin as friends. Cabins are separated by gender. YMCA staff is present in cabins next to the campers - and on duty overnight, if needed.
Nutritious meals included during the stay and dietary requirements catered for.
A wide range of 'Challenge by Choice' activities with any specialty equipment included.
Transport to and from camp from two Auckland locations. Or you can organise your own to and from camp.
Drop off at Camp – arriving between 9:30 am, and 10 am. Bus from YMCA Mt Albert departs at 8 am. Bus from Vector Wero, Manukau departs at 9 am
Pick up from Camp – by 1 pm. Bus back to Vector Wero, Manukau – arriving at 2 pm; Bus back to YMCA Mt Albert– arriving at 3 pm.

How do I select my price?
Choosing whichever tier works for your family requires no paperwork and in no way influences the experience children receive. Simply choose the rate that is appropriate for your family.
We can also tweak your price if you can afford a little more but the tiers do not fit - please contact the camp office.
Need extra Support to pay for Camp?
As YMCA is an MSD-approved provider, eligible families can apply to WINZ for an OSCAR Subsidy. Please contact WINZ to see what you are eligible for.
If you receive MOH Career Support days you can use these to pay for camp - you need 5 full days to cover the whole programme or we can split the payment up - please contact the camp office for details.
Are you supported by Oranga Tamariki, Foster Hope, Barnardos...?
The Y works with these and similar agencies to assist children to attend our camps. Please contact your caseworker to discuss how they can support you to come to camp.
Our online booking system makes registering for camp a simple process. Once registered on AimyPlus - follow the booking instructions to select your programme, your price, and the transport options available.
Remember your login details so you can book for future programmes and make changes to current bookings.
