We are looking for a Sports League Coordinator to join our team at Massey Leisure Centre.
This is a supervisor role that runs all aspects of our Junior Basketball League by completing all administration, communication and creating a safe and fun environment for our Junior players and their families. We have basketball for 34 weeks of the year throughout the school terms. This role would be perfect for someone who is passionate about sport but with a key eye for detail and relationship building.

This is a great part time role Monday to Friday – 27.5 hours per week!

What will you be doing?

  • Run West Auckland’s Largest Junior Basketball Programmes for 5-13 year olds.
  • Complete all relevant administration from Registraion to draw creating to planning the finals events.
  • Recruit and Support Basketball Referee team of 12+
  • Responsible for all ingoing and outgoing communications with School Co-ordinators, Coaches and Parents.
  • Create events for our local Basketball Community to get more children playing.
  • Stock Management of Basketball Supplies.

What experience/skills do you need?

  • A passion for Sports, specifically in the development of children aged 5-13.
  • Administration Background with a key eye for the Smaller Details
  • Knowledge of the sports, recreation and fitness industry desirable but not essential
  • Problem solving ability: Can actively find solutions and seek support when necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Good Understanding of Microsoft Office and Outlook.
