We’re looking for an experienced Fundraising Manager to lead The Y North’s revenue growth and sustainability. In this senior role, you’ll design and deliver an integrated fundraising strategy, diversifying revenue streams across philanthropy, trusts, grants, partnerships, and flagship fundraising events.


What will you be doing?

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with donors, corporate partners, trusts, foundations, and government agencies.
  • Securing and stewarding sustainable contracts and funding agreements with central and local government.
  • Leading the design, delivery, and evaluation of high-profile fundraising events that boost income and brand visibility.
  • Overseeing donor acquisition, stewardship, and retention strategies.
  • Providing regular performance reports and strategic recommendations to the CEO and Board.
  • Managing, motivating and developing Fundraisers, as well as other staff and volunteers engaged in events.

This role reports to the GM Brand and Community and plays a vital part in ensuring The Y North’s long-term sustainability and impact in the community.

What experience/skills do you need?

  • 8+ years’ proven experience in fundraising, development, or external relations.
  • Demonstrated success in donor cultivation, stewardship, and solicitation.
  • Strong understanding of government processes, advocacy, and policy influence.
  • Experience in designing and delivering large-scale fundraising events.
  • Excellent financial management, analytical, organisational, and project management skills.
  • Strong leadership ability to inspire, coach, and motivate teams.
  • High integrity, resilience, and results orientation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
