We have a Permanent, Full time opportunity as the Centre Manager of Onehunga War Memorial Pool and Sir William Jordan Leisure Centre

As the Centre Manager, you will be across staff management, financial management, business planning, marketing, risk management, programming, service development and reporting. This means you will proactively connect and network with our Partner Auckland Council , Local businesses and other organisations to grow our Aquatics, Fitness, Recreation and Community portfolios.

What will you be doing?

  • Leading a dedicated team of aquatic and fitness professionals.
  • Ensuring the centre is meeting the needs of our community.
  • Delivering operational excellence and financial success .
  • Leading the development and implementation of a local marketing strategy.
  • Reporting to the Group Manager – Council facilities

What experience/skills do you need?

  • Proven qualifications and knowledge of the Aquatic and Fitness industry(preferred).
  • Minimum five (5) years experience in similar management role or facility management
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, capable of working effectively as the leader of the centre.
  • Proven ability to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partners, while having a good awareness of our local community.
  • Administrative, budgeting, business planning or financial analysis experience.
  • Working knowledge and overall understanding of Health and Safety,industry related policies and operational procedures.
