Early Learning 30 Hours Free Promotion Terms and Conditions
These Promotional Terms and Conditions apply in addition to the standard The Y North Early Learning Centre enrolment terms and policies. Where there is any inconsistency, these Promotional Terms apply for the duration of the promotion.
1. Promoter
1.1 This promotion is conducted by YMCA North Inc. (The Y North), Cnr Pitt Street & Greys Avenue, Auckland, New Zealand ("The Promoter").
2. Promotional Offer
2.1 Eligible families who enrol a new child at a participating The Y North Early Learning Centre will receive up to 30 hours of free early learning per week for the first three (3) months of that child's enrolment, subject to these Promotional Terms.
2.2 The free hours apply from the child's confirmed commencement date and are applied to the child's agreed booked hours, up to a maximum of:
- 30 hours per week; and
- 6 hours per day.
2.3 Any booked or attended hours above these limits, together with any additional fees or charges not expressly included in this offer, will be charged at the centre's standard rates.
2.4 This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other The Y North offer, discount, promotion, fee reduction or special arrangement unless expressly approved by The Y North in writing.
2.5 Children enrolled for fewer than 30 booked hours per week will receive free hours on a pro-rata basis according to their agreed booked hours. Unused hours cannot be accumulated, transferred or applied to additional days.
3. Eligibility
3.1 This offer is available to new children only.
3.2 For the purposes of this promotion, a new child is a child who has not been enrolled at any The Y North Early Learning Centre within the previous 30 days.
3.3 The Y North may approve eligibility in writing where exceptional circumstances apply.
3.4 The offer applies separately to each eligible child and cannot be transferred between families or accounts.
3.5 The offer applies only to children who are aged three (3) years or older on their first day of enrolment.
3.6 Enrolment remains subject to:
- availability;
- centre capacity;
- age requirements;
- licensing requirements; and
- completion of The Y North's standard enrolment process.
3.7 The promotion is available only at participating The Y North Early Learning Centres.
3.8 Participation in this promotion constitutes acceptance of these Promotional Terms together with The Y North's standard Early Learning Centre enrolment policies.
3.9 Where siblings are enrolled, the offer applies separately to each child who independently meets the eligibility criteria.
4. Minimum Enrolment Period
4.1 To receive this offer, the child must remain continuously enrolled for a minimum period of six (6) months from the confirmed commencement date.
4.2 The Y North may waive or vary this minimum enrolment requirement where exceptional circumstances apply, including (but not limited to):
- relocation;
- medical reasons;
- changes in family circumstances; or
- any other circumstances approved by The Y North.
5. Free Hours
5.1 Free hours apply only to the child's agreed booked hours during the first three (3) months of enrolment.
5.2 Free hours cannot be:
- accumulated;
- carried forward;
- backdated;
- exchanged for cash;
- redeemed as account credit; or
- applied to another child.
5.3 Any unused free hours are forfeited and cannot be substituted for additional days, casual bookings or future attendance periods.
5.4 Any change to booked days or hours during the first six (6) months must be approved by the centre and may result in the promotional entitlement being recalculated, reduced or withdrawn.
5.5 Where a child transfers between participating The Y North Early Learning Centres and continuity of enrolment is maintained, the child may retain the offer, subject to availability and approval by The Y North.
6. Redemption
6.1 The promotional period commences from the child's confirmed commencement date at the participating centre, not from the date of enquiry, waitlist placement or enrolment application.
6.2 To redeem the promotion, the child must commence attendance on their confirmed commencement date or within another timeframe approved by The Y North in writing.
6.3 Enquiries, waitlist placements or enrolment applications received before the promotion launch date are eligible only where The Y North confirms eligibility in writing.
7. Enrolment and Attendance Conditions
7.1 Enrolment and participation remain subject to each centre's standard policies and operating requirements.
7.2 Free hours apply only to scheduled attendance and cannot be applied to unused or future attendance periods.
8. Availability
8.1 Submission of an enquiry does not guarantee placement at a participating centre.
8.2 The Promoter reserves the right to limit the number of promotional enrolments available under this offer.
8.3 The Promoter reserves the right to add or remove participating centres where reasonably necessary.
8.4 Participating centres may apply centre-specific limitations, restrictions or availability criteria based on:
- centre capacity;
- age mix;
- staffing levels;
- licensing requirements;
- room availability; or
- operational needs.
8.5 This offer is available from 27th July 2026 until withdrawn by The Y North or until the maximum number of allocated promotional places has been filled.
8.6 The Y North may allocate a maximum number of promotional places for each participating centre and may close the promotion at any participating centre once those places have been filled.
9. Privacy
9.1 The Y North collects, holds and uses personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy for purposes including enquiry management, enrolment, service delivery, account management and communications with families.
9.2 Families may update their contact preferences by notifying The Y North.
10. General
10.1 The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend or withdraw this promotion where reasonably necessary.
10.2 Nothing in these Promotional Terms limits or excludes any rights available under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.
10.3 All marketing and advertising relating to this promotion must be read together with these Promotional Terms.
10.4 The promotion offers up to 30 hours of free early learning per week for the first three (3) months and is subject to eligibility, availability, booked hours and these Promotional Terms.
