The Y is super excited to be a part of the Papatoetoe Rugby Football Club community to deliver fun multi-sport holiday programme in a safe and secure environment.
The Holiday Programme is designed to keep primary and intermediate-aged children engaged and active. Our customised holiday programme for your club teaches foundations and fundamentals to improve their sporting skills through Rugby. There will be plenty of down time too where Tamariki can engage in a number of clubroom activities such as arts, crafts, engineering and our interactive Zones and Spaces!
Midweek sees us going off-site for a day trip!
For those families who qualify, Work and Income (WINZ) subsidies are available. Call us for more information.

For years YMCA has provided a safe and secure environment, where kids can just be and enjoy their time with us. We want to support every parent by not only being a fun programme, but also a safe haven where kids’ development is supported and learning is recognised.
YMCA North is Aotearoa’s first and only accredited organisation through the Australian Childhood Foundation (ACF). We are proud to lead the children’s workforce as a child-safe organisation. Find out more.
Yes, we do! As an approved holiday programme, parents who are eligible can access the OSCAR subsidy from Work and Income NZ. To apply, email us at oscar@ymcaauckland.org.nz. We will need to complete Part C of your application form, and you will need to pay a 20% deposit. There are different subsidy rates depending on your eligibility – to find out more, visit www.winz.govt.nz
YMCA uses a safe and secure online booking system called AimyPlus. For first-time bookers, you will need to register first, where you will put in all your details and information about your child/ren, including any medical conditions, contact details, and who can collect your child after the programme. After registering, you will see the programmes available on your parent dashboard to book sessions. Click here to register and book.
Active kids are happy kids! Clothing where children can move in is best, and for those who go hard, a change of clothes is always great to have in the bag. Children will need to bring a drink bottle, morning tea, and lunch every day. Children can bring their rugby boots, but this is not a requirement and are not to be worn in the club. Children who play tackle will need to have their mouthguard with them as well.
Unfortunately, no, not at this stage.
These details will be emailed to you once a session is booked.
Children must be signed in and out each day by an authorised person. You can add as many people as you would like to your AimyPlus parent account to collect your child. If someone turns up to collect a child and they are not on the approved list, we will call you to confirm. If your child is making their own way to/from the programme please email oscar@ymcaauckland.org.nz so you can complete the arrive/depart unaccompanied form.
Have a question? Call us on 021 962 247 or email us at oscar@ymcaauckland.org.nz
