The Y (formerly YMCA) is super excited to be a part of the Kauri Park School community to deliver a fun holiday programme in a safe and secure environment.
A holiday programme that your kids will be pestering you to book into - what's not to like? Each day is full of fun and planned activities, within a safe and supportive space. They can hang with their pals, run around as much or as little as they want, and spend their time busily engaged in things they enjoy, that hit the right balance of stimulating but also relaxing - you'll be picking up happy kids at the end of each day!

For years The Y (formerly YMCA) has provided a safe and secure environment, where kids can just be’ and enjoy their time with us. We want to support every parent by not only being a fun programme, but also a safe haven where kids’ development is supported and learning is recognised.
YMCA North is Aotearoa’s first and only accredited organisation through the Australian Childhood Foundation (ACF). We are proud to lead the children’s workforce as a child-safe organisation. Find out more.
Yes, we do! As an approved holiday programme, parents who are eligible can access the OSCAR subsidy from Work and Income. If this is you, contact oscar@ymcaauckland.org.nz as we need to complete Part C of the application form, and you will need to pay a 20% deposit. There are different subsidy rates depending on your eligibility – check out www.winz.govt.nz for more information.
The Y uses an online booking system called AimyPlus. To book, you will need to register first on https://ymca-akl-ham-bop.aimyplus.com/ - this is where you will put in all your details, and information about your child/ren including any medical conditions, and who can collect your child.
Active kids are happy kids! Clothing children can move in is best, and for those who go hard, a change of clothes is always great to have in the bag. Children will need to bring a drinkbottle, sunhat, morning tea and lunch every day.
Unfortunately no, not at this stage.
We are in the school hall at Kauri Park School. Drive up the driveway from McGlashen Place, and you will see a small carpark. Walk through the gate and turn left at the sandpit. We are right next to the covered court past the playground.
Children must be signed in and out each day by an authorised person. You can add as many people as you would like into your AimyPlus profile to collect your child. If someone turns up to collect a child and they are not on the approved list, we will call you to confirm. If your child will be making their own way to/from the programme please email oscar@ymcaauckland.org.nz so you can complete the arrive/depart unaccompanied form.
