Join the team at Lagoon Pools and Leisure Centre and make your mark on the gym! We are looking for an euthanasic and driven Fitness Supervisor to join the team.

A great full time opportunity, offering 30 – 40 hours a week where you will be supporting the Fitness Manager in the daily operation of the fitness club, to achieve programme area advancement, financial success and operational excellence.

What will you be doing?

  • Work in conjunction with the Multi Site Fitness Manager to ensure that retention processes are carried out in accordance with the retention strategy
  • Deliver excellence in customer service to maximise customer satisfaction and retention
  • Deliver all fitness services and programmes in accordance with The Y policies and procedures
  • Assist in deliver on the budgeted sales number per month
  • Assist in managing debtors reports on a weekly basis
  • Assist in delivering retention strategies
  • Delvier small group exercise classes
  • Active involvement in member interaction activities
  • Assist the Multi Site Fitness Manager to create and maintain a motivated and positive fitness team
  • Assist in preparing rosters and covering shift gaps, coaching and development,
  • Involvement in KPI reporting and financials

What experience/skills do you need?

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Fitness Trainer including some hands on experience in staff management, supervision and rostering
  • REPs registered to Exercise Consultant Level 2 or above
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Coaching and Training experience
  • High degree of computer literacy
  • High work standards, including time management
  • Excellent communication and problem solving ability
  • Proven ability to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partners, while having a good awareness of the surrounding community
  • Credibility and professional integrity: Ability to act in a manner that conveys high personal and professional standards, while engaging with a personable and approachable nature role specific
  • Ability to work independently or work well in a team across all cultures and ages with The Y
  • Has an empathetic approach, respects confidentiality and the privacy of others
