August 2026 Fitness Promotional Terms and Conditions
These Promotional Terms and Conditions apply in addition to the YMCA North Fitness Membership Terms and Conditions. Where there is any inconsistency, these Promotional Terms apply for the duration of the promotion.
1. Promoter
This promotion is run by YMCA North Inc. (The Y North), Cnr Pitt St & Greys Ave, Auckland, New Zealand ("the Promoter").
2. Promotion Period
The promotion runs from 1 August 2026 to 31 August 2026 ("Promotion Period").
3. Eligibility
3.1 The promotion is open to individuals aged 18 years and over.
3.2 Eligibility is limited to new or returning members who have not held an active fitness membership with The Y North in the 30 days immediately prior to joining.
3.3 The promotion is available at participating Y Owned and Y Managed fitness centres.
3.4 Participating Y Owned fitness centres are: The Y Auckland City, The Y Hamilton Recreation Centre and The Y North Shore Recreation Centre. Participating Y Managed fitness centres are: The Y Ellerslie Leisure Centre, The Y Glen Innes Pool & Leisure Centre, The Y Lagoon Leisure & Fitness Centre, The Y Massey Leisure Centre, The Y Onehunga War Memorial Pool & Leisure Centre and The Y Sir William Jordan Recreation Centre.
3.5 The following memberships are excluded from this promotion:
- All Adult 6 Month and Adult 12 Month memberships
- All Youth, Community, Concession and Corporate memberships
- Aquatic / Swim memberships
- Casual passes and concession-only access
- External provider memberships (including ClassPass, Fitness Passport and Exercise NZ)
- Staff or complimentary memberships
3.6 Participation in this promotion constitutes acceptance of these Promotional Terms and the standard YMCA North Fitness Membership Terms and Conditions.
4. Promotional Offer
4.1 Eligible members who join during the Promotion Period on an Adult Freedom Membership will receive:
- Two Weeks Free; and
- No Joining Fee.4.2
4.2 The promotional discount is applied from the member's Join Date.
4.3 For weekly direct debit memberships, the first two weeks of membership fees will be waived.
4.4 For monthly memberships, the first monthly payment will be reduced to reflect the value of the two-week promotional discount.
4.5 For upfront memberships, the value of the two-week promotional discount will be deducted from the total membership price at the time of purchase.
4.6 The standard joining fee will be waived for all eligible memberships purchased during the Promotion Period.
4.7 This promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other membership offer, promotion or discount unless expressly approved by the Promoter.
5. Y Owned Fitness Centres
5.1 At Y Owned fitness centres, this promotion applies to Adult Freedom Membership only.
5.2 Memberships may be paid weekly by direct debit, monthly where available, or upfront in full.
5.3 Following the promotional period, membership fees will continue at the applicable standard membership rate for the selected membership type.
5.4 Cancellation, suspension and early termination remain subject to the YMCA North Fitness Membership Terms and Conditions.
6. Y Managed Fitness Centres
6.1 At Y Managed fitness centres, this promotion applies to Adult Freedom Memberships only.
6.2 Memberships may be paid weekly by direct debit, monthly where available, or upfront in full.
6.3 Members joining a participating Y Managed fitness centre acknowledge that any scheduled membership price changes taking effect after their Join Date will apply in accordance with their Membership Agreement.
6.4 Cancellation, suspension and early termination remain subject to the YMCA North Fitness Membership Terms and Conditions.
7. Membership Status and Cancellations
7.1 Members must maintain an active membership to retain the benefit of the promotional offer.
7.2 If a membership is cancelled during any applicable minimum term, cancellation fees may apply in accordance with the YMCA North Fitness Membership Terms and Conditions.
7.3 If a membership is cancelled before the promotional benefit has been fully applied, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the promotional benefit to the extent permitted by law.
7.4 Promotional memberships remain subject to the standard YMCA North Fitness Membership Terms and Conditions.
8. General
8.1 The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend or withdraw this promotion where reasonably necessary.
8.2 Nothing in these Promotional Terms limits or excludes a consumer's rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.
8.3 The Promoter reserves the right to limit the number of promotional memberships available during the Promotion Period.
