The Y Fitness September STEPtember Competition Terms and Conditions
1. Promotion Overview
- Promotion Name: September STEPtember Competition
- Promotion Period: September 1, 2024, to September 30, 2024
- Eligibility: Open to all members of The Y who have registered for the competition using the StepUp App linked to the user’s centre. Signup name on the apps should be the same as the name on their Y membership.
2. How to Participate
- Registration: Participants must register for the competition through the StepUp App using their local centre’s link (available on your local centre’s fitness webpage or in-centre posters.)
- Tracking Steps: All steps must be tracked using the StepUp App.
- Competition: Participants compete individually to achieve the highest number of steps.
3. Prizes
- Individual Prize: One $1000 Prezzy card to be won by a draw from eligible participants. To be eligible, participants must complete 10,000 steps. The prize is drawn from all entrants across all Y sites running the promotion. Every 10,000 steps give 1 entry into the draw. Participants can enter the draw multiple times. E.g. 80,000 steps for the month= 8 entries. No partial entries are accepted.
- T-Shirt Awards: T-shirts will be awarded to the ten highest-performing participants from each centre. Award Criteria: Each centre will distribute t-shirts to the top ten individuals within their team. The ranking will be based on the total number of steps recorded by each participant as of the cutoff date, 30 September 2024.
- Prize Details: Prizes will be announced in centre and on social media channels in the week of 1-6 October 2024.
4. General Terms and Conditions
- Membership: Participants must be active members of The Y during the promotion period. Available to all members who use the facility, including Gold-fit casuals.
- Health and Safety: Participants are responsible for ensuring they are physically fit to participate in the competition. The Y is not liable for any injuries or health issues arising from participation.
- Data Privacy: By participating, you agree to the collection and use of your data by The Y and the StepUp App for the purposes of this competition. Please view StepUp app’s privacy policy.
- Fair Play: Any form of cheating, including falsifying step counts, will result in disqualification.
- Changes to Terms: The Y reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
5. Excluding the offer-specific terms and conditions, The Y Standard Terms and Conditions apply
6. The customer agrees that The Y may contact them directly with follow-up information, and to distribute marketing information about other services that YMCA offers. Customers may change their contact preferences at any time by notifying The Y. The Y will not share personal information with any third party that is not part of the service delivery without permission.
