We are looking for an energetic Swim School Teacher and Administration superstar to join our Swim School team at Lagoon Pool and Leisure Centre. You’ll be supporting the Swim School Manager with the smooth running of the department - providing administration support and expertise, alongside great customer service. This is a part time role offering a minimum of 20-30 hours per week.

What will you be doing?

  • Manage and administer swim school reception services, policies and procedures
  • Accurately process all Swim School enrolments and bookings, managing class booking numbers and waitlists.
  • Assist the Swim School Manager with rostering, and other administrative duties
  • Assist with class preparation and school group set up as required

What experience/skills do you need?

  • Minimum 12 months experience in an administrative role
  • Minimum 12 months experience in a customer facing – customer service related role
  • Computer Savvy and competent in Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written
  • High work standards, including time management
  • Excellent communication and problem solving ability
  • Proven ability to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partners, while having a good awareness of the surrounding community
  • Credibility and professional integrity: Ability to act in a manner that conveys high personal and professional standards, while engaging with a personable and approachable nature role specific
  • Ability to work independently or work well in a team across all cultures and ages with The Y
  • Swim School Qualifications: Support to gain the required qualifications can be provided
  • AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety License or equivalent industry recognised qualification or have previous industry experience
  • Comprehensive First Aid Qualification
