We are looking for a Before & After School Care & Holiday Programme Team Leader to join our team based at Lynmore Primary in Rotorua.
We are looking for passionate Team Leaders and members who are forward thinking, well organised, can follow the required guidelines and who love working with kids to join our OSCAR Programme. Additional hours are available in before School care and Holiday Programmes depending on the school you are assigned too.
Due to MSD requirements and the NZ Government MSD Specialist Accreditation Standard we are only able to accept applicants who are over the age of 20 for the Team Leader role.
What will you be doing?
- Adhering to strict compliance with all aspects of the OSCAR Code of Practice
- Actively supervise children and staff in the programme, being aware of their whereabouts at all times.
- Implementation of the daily programme
- Actively participate and interact with children in the programme
- Set up and clean-up activities and facility areas used by children
- Ensure physical and emotional safety of children and other staff at all times
- Treat all children with dignity and respect whilst providing positive encouragement
What experience/skills do you need?
- Minimum one years’ experience working with children or in a child care role is essential
- Experience as a supervisor or leader or in a role with responsibility
- First Aid certificate
- Passion for working with kids, youth and people in general
