We are looking for a Basketball League Coordinator to join our Men's League team based at Sir William Jordan Recreation Centre in Onehunga. This is a part time role offering a minimum of 17 hours per week based on a roster.

What will you be doing?

Reporting to the Duty Manager Our Basketball coordinator is required to Implement, deliver and provide quality recreational programmes meeting service expectations, customer service and recreational needs within our local and wider community

  • Confidently umpire basketball games from junior to competitive grades
  • Deliver sport and recreational programmes within the stadium department.
  • Assist with adult sports leagues delivery
  • Deliver excellence in customer service at all times to maximise customer satisfaction and retention
  • Complete stadium administration tasks in conjunction with Recreation programmes and timetable.

Skills and Experience

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently across all cultures and ages
  • Proven sales experience, with ability to up-sell and cross sell products and services
  • High degree of customer service experience
  • Administration of sports coaching and programmes
  • Sound Knowledge of basketball / netball (main sport we deliver at our centre)
  • Knowledge of the recreation and fitness industry
  • Proven time management and administration skills
