It’s fun to work at the YMCA!

We are looking for a Basketball Coach to join our team based Lynfield Youth and Leisure Centre on Tuesday evenings. The role is part time for 2-4 hours per week.

What will you be doing?

  • Maintain standards of play and to ensure that game rules and regulations are observed
  • Officiate at sporting events, games or competitions, to maintain standards of play and to ensure the game rules and regulations are observed
  • Teach and explain the rules, regulations, and etiquette governing a specific sport
  • Coach basketball courses and classes if required

What experience/skills do you need?

  • Sound knowledge of the sport being refereed/umpired/coach
  • Experience in sport officiating
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Current First Aid Certificate (desirable)
